My Surgical Abortion (Personal Stories) Part 4

This video, and any others that will feature in the personal section of this channel, are meant to offer guidance and support for others who have gone through similar experiences. I am using this platform to speak about something that doesn’t get spoken about enough: opening up a dialogue to educate others on an experience that I would never wish upon another human being.

I know this has nothing to do with Lush, but please don’t get offended that I have used this platform to speak about something important and relevant to me. If you feel the need to comment anything negative or nasty, please don’t bother: I will delete your message. Thank you to everyone who took the time to watch it.

  1. Glad to hear you're recovering okay. I can't even imagine what it must have been like when you are in that building knowing such an impactful event is about to happen and you have to show as little emotion as possible to "convince" the nurses you are ready. There must be so many people backing out in that moment, even if that means they can't raise a child under the best conditions, which is incredibly sad.

I don't mean this to sound morbid or weird, but congrats on making the best choice for you and going through with what was best for you. You have a lot of life left ahead of you with more difficult decisions to come, but at least you made the choice for yourself on this day. I think that indeed calls for a celebration. Wishing you all the best with the recovery!

  2. Thank you for sharing. I hope you're feeling 100% again very soon! I really appreciate you sharing your story and experience, it's something that could be a reality for many women and it's good to talk about!

  3. I admire your decision to share your story. I recently found out that a loved one had been through this experience alone. I hope videos like this can offer guidance for those who need it. Love and best wishes to you Jen xxx

  4. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I’m glad to hear everything went smoothly and you felt comfort from the staff at the clinic. I have so much respect for the fact that you put your story out there. There’s no need to feel shame in your decision. Sending all my love from Canada xoxox

  5. Thank you for sharing this. I do feel society judges women for whatever reason we would choose to not have a child. Even if it's planned, I've heard of people aborting. It's that person's business and right. We are all homo-sapiens, with emotions and we can control them so we don't negatively impact another person's mental and emotional well-being by being hurtfully judgmental. It's super selfish too to make someone feel horrible for a major life choice just because your beliefs differ. Humans have been aborting living beings for thousands of years. We've killed our own young to save them from starvation, dying due to a disability, and other mercy killings. So a woman having a right to legally and safely do what she wants with her own body and life is a beautiful luxury we have today that we shouldn't take for granted. The fact that Jenn put so much thought into her choice she made with her partner shows she wasn't willy nilly killing a being. She had her valid reasons and whether or not everyone supports her doesn't matter. It's her life, not someone else's. So as she said in her previous video, if anyone even thinks of leaving negativity here, go elsewhere and troll. You have no place spreading that here.

  6. I'm really glad that you had such a positive experience with the medical staff. I'm a nurse and it makes me so happy to know that you had a good experience in a medical facility! 😊😊

  7. You are very brave posting these videos. There is a ridiculous taboo around female reproductive health in this country, meaning it is just not talked about. I am so sorry you have had to go through this, but hopefully these videos will help people going through the same thing. I sat with a friend on Christmas Eve while she had a medical abortion, It was a really tough day for her (and for me, but, well, you know) All the very best to you, and I hope you have found some catharsis in making these xxx
